District 9 Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park
Charlottetown, PE - Educator and community volunteer Adina Nault is the Green Party of PEI candidate for District 9, Charlottetown-Hillsborough Park, in the 2023 provincial election.
“I’ve been happy to be actively involved in the Green Party of PEI for these past four years. I’ve contributed time and ideas to help our party move forward. Based on the work of our Green Opposition Caucus, I truly believe that with a Green government, we can offer Islanders a better life. As I listen to people and hear of the hardships they are going through, I can't help but believe that we can do things differently to better support Islanders. My commitment to Islanders is to bring their voice to the Legislature and contribute positively to the changes that are needed in healthcare, housing and affordability,” says Nault.
Nault is an Acadian Islander and has been working and volunteering in her community for the past 14 years. While raising her three children and working full time, she obtained her ECE diploma as well as a non-profit administrator diploma with honours.
“Ma langue première est le français. Depuis que je suis jeune, je vois ma communauté se défendre pour leurs représentations. Si je suis élue, je serai une voix pour les Francophones dans l’Assemblé Législative. Mais je ne suis pas une voix uniquement pour les Francophones, je cherche à être la voix pour chaque individu, qu’importe leurs histoires. Chaque individu est unique et a le droit d’être représenté de façon équitable,” says Nault.
Nault currently serves on three boards: the Provincial Council for the Green Party of PEI, the Atlantic Summer Institute for Health and Safe Communities (ASI), and the Administrative Council for le Carrefour de l’Isle St-Jean. She also sits on the ASI Advisory Committee for the implementation of the ASI Policy Brief: Upstream Investment in Infant, Child, and Youth Mental Health.
Nault spent her childhood in Hillsborough and attended François-Buote. She lives with her partner Justin and their three children in Hillsborough Village.
