Amanda Morrison is proud to call Charlottetown her home. After moving from Cape Breton to Prince Edward Island to attend university in 2003, she fell in love with the island. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts with Honours English (creative writing thesis) from the University of Prince Edward Island and is currently working on a Master of Education, with a focus on 21st Century Teaching and Learning, from UPEI as well. By day, Amanda is a Creative Designer, dedicating her time to building e-learning courseware with a focus on instructional design, user experience, and accessibility. She is passionate about innovation in education and closely studies the current climate of educational technology. She is also a dedicated photographer, and has run her own photography business since 2012.
Once an English major, always an English major – Amanda is an avid reader and writer; she has won a Maritime Electric Short Story Award, a Creative Non-Fiction Award, and a Lucy Maud Montgomery Writing for Children Award from the Island Literary Awards. She spends her free time with her husband, Brent, and their two young sons, Rhett and Emmett.
