Lynne Lund

District 21 Summerside-Wilmot

Summerside, PE - Summerside-Wilmot MLA Lynne Lund (née Gallant) is the Green Party of PEI candidate for District 21, Summerside-Wilmot, in the next provincial election.

“I am extremely proud to have served Summerside-Wilmot for the last 4 years. I've consistently demonstrated my commitment to being an accessible MLA to my constituents. There are many examples of issues that have been brought to me by constituents that I’ve fought for in the Legislature, including advocating for the new Harbourside Medical Centre and supporting seniors facing large rent increases,” says Lund.

Committed to working across party lines, Lund’s legislative achievements include the groundbreaking Non-Disclosure Agreement Act. This Act prevents NDAs from silencing those impacted by sexual misconduct, harassment, and discrimination. It was the first of its kind in Canada and has contributed to the national conversation around the abuse of NDAs.

Lund is the Deputy Leader of the Green Party of PEI and is the Opposition Critic for Education, Lifelong Learning, Justice, and Public Safety. She also serves as Chair of the Standing Committee on Rules, Regulations, Private Bills, and Privileges and was the past Chair of the Special Committee on Climate Change.

Lund was born and raised in Summerside and is an avid volunteer with numerous groups and organizations in the Summerside area, including the Summerside Lions Club.

“It is an honor to work on behalf of Summerside-Wilmot and there is still so much to do. With the support of the community, I look forward to continuing that work and putting the needs of Islanders first when it comes to healthcare, housing and affordability.”
